Broadway star, Kally Duling returns to her hometown to headline the Cabaret. Duling said, “The opportunity to come home to join the Rep’s holiday cabaret couldn’t have come at a more perfect moment. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented UNL students while spending a little extra time with my family this holiday season. It truly is ‘the most wonderful time of the year’ to surround yourself with music and family. I can’t wait to share some great holiday tunes with one of my favorite cities in the world.”

Duling is best known for her Broadway run and national tour of FUN HOME. She has also appeared in AMERICAN HERO, NEXT TO NORMAL, INTO THE WOODS, THE TALL GIRLS, THE FIFTH OF JULY, GUYS AND DOLLS, PETER PAN, EVITA, and BABES IN TOYLAND to name a few, at regional theatres throughout the country. Film and television roles include “The Good Wife,” “One Bad Choice,” “Indecision 2010,” and “Street Pillow.”

Duling’s critical reviews of her role as Joan in FUN HOME state that she “seduces with a self-confident swagger” (Perry Tannenbaum, Broadway World) and that she is “terrific” (Julia M. Klein, Philadelphia Inquirer).

Duling is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University and Lincoln East High School who cut her theatrical teeth at the Lincoln Community Playhouse. Lincoln audiences may remember Duling’s performance as Crissy in the Playhouse production of HAIR directed by Robin McKercher.
