Find Yourself at the Rep!

Theatre has a way of shining a light on our lives. While we watch characters struggle or triumph on stage, we contemplate big questions and consider our own position in life. This season, The Rep explores themes of personal identity, coming of age, reflecting on the past and living in the moment.

In October, The Rep welcomes Steve Scott, longtime producer and member of Goodman Theatre's Artistic Collective, to direct the new hit comedy The Legend of Georgia McBride. In addition to the show's wit and charm, this comedy explores themes of identity and celebrates some of humanity's most exciting and eclectic lifestyles.

In November, The Rep stages a stunning reimagining of a Tennessee Williams' classic, The Glass Menagerie. This beautiful play reflects on how memories and past experiences can shape future possibilities.

In December, we celebrate the season with our annual The Holiday Cabaret. Join us for a naughty and nice revue featuring live music, comedy and a cash bar.

In February, we produce the world premiere of A Thousand Words. This experimental piece explores the boundaries between theater and life; between people and performers. This powerful show shares real stories, photos and moments that reveal the brave performers on stage.

On March 23, season ticket holders are invited to a special VIP experience. The Rep is working with an incredible creative team to develop new music to underscore Thornton Wilder's classic play, Our Town. Season ticket holders will get an exclusive glimpse into new show development, hear selections from the score performed live and meet the creative team.

Finally, we close our season with the hit Broadway musical, Pippin. Melissa Zaremba will both direct and choreograph the production. Ms. Zaremba is an accomplished director, choreographer and performer (Rockette at Radio City Music Hall and the first national tour of 42nd Street). Pippin is the quintessential coming of age musical and features songs like 'Corner of the Sky,' 'Magic to Do' and 'Morning Glow.'
