Grant Hilgenkamp

Technical Director

Grant Hilgenkamp serves as Interim Technical Director for UNL’s Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film. A proud educator, Grant takes immense pride in student success and recently relocated to Colorado after many years at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. A longtime contributor to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, he has spent many summers in Cedar City, serving as Technical Director for the Randall L. Jones Theatre for five seasons alongside past roles as Scenery Director, Scenic Supervisor, and Carpenter. His extensive regional and academic background includes work with CAL Scenic, Opera Omaha, Heartland Scenic Studio, The Rose Theater, Clinton Area Showboat Theatre, and Southern Utah University. Grant holds a BS from NWMSU and belongs to USITT and IATSE Local 42.
